Soccer Tournament

The AIA Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Miami Chapters proudly present our 4th Annual Soccer Tournament

This year's Soccer Tournament is a family- oriented event that will bring design and construction-related fields together for a fun day of healthy competition and constant networking!

Saturday, April 1

During the length of the tournament, all players and sponsors will have the opportunity to network with attendees from Palm Beach Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, as well as to reconnect with existing contacts. As a family-oriented event, kids are welcome to enjoy the fields when available. After all games are completed, an award ceremony will honor the first, second, and third places as well as the single-player with the most goals scored and the best goalie!

Tournament Format

Teams are divided into three groups of four. Each group will have four teams which will guarantee each team to play at least three games. Group standings will be determined on a point earning basis described as follow: three (3) points for a win, one (1) point for a tie, and zero (0) points for a loss. The ranking in each group will be determined as follows:

a) Greatest number of points obtained in all group matches.

b) Goal difference in all group matches.

c) Greatest number of goals scored in all group matches.

Game Duration: All games during the group phase of the tournament will be 20-minute games with 10- minute breaks in between-group games. Semi-finals are to be 20-minute games with 5 mins halftime break and the final will be 30- minute games with a 10-minute half-time break. During the tournament, there will be opportunities to network and mingle, even when games are underway. This event is about making new connections and strengthing existing ones.
